How fast can you get to my Toronto address?
Our crews work the old City of Toronto every day, running the DVP, Gardiner, Allen Road, and the Lake Shore corridor. For most downtown, midtown, and east end addresses we quote the same day you call and install the next day when the scope is standard Level 2 with no service upgrade.
Jobs inside the core need a bit more planning. Permit parking on streets like Palmerston and Sorauren, laneway garage access in Riverdale and Leslieville, and Toronto Hydro service coordination all add lead time, so we book those with a window rather than a drop-in slot. If your job needs a Toronto Hydro disconnect and reconnect, plan on 1 to 2 weeks from approved quote to energized charger.
What Toronto homes and buildings do you work in?
Toronto's housing stock is the widest in the GTA. Century semis in The Annex and Riverdale often still run 60A or 100A service with legacy fuse panels, so a load calculation to OESC Section 8 comes first and a panel upgrade or a DCC-9 load management device usually follows. Post-war bungalows around High Park and The Beaches are typically 100A with room for a subpanel.
We also work in condo and townhouse parking across the downtown core, where the Ontario Condominium Act Section 98 process, submetering, and shared-circuit load management decide the design. New infill builds and laneway suites are usually 200A and EV-ready, which means a clean 2 to 4 hour Tesla Wall Connector or Grizzl-E install.

Local FAQ
EV charger questions from Toronto
What does a Level 2 install cost in an older Annex or Riverdale home?
A standard Level 2 install runs $1,500 to $2,800 CAD when your panel has spare capacity. With a 100A to 200A panel upgrade, budget $4,000 to $7,300 CAD combined. Older homes in The Annex or Riverdale that need a service mast and meter base sit at the higher end.
Do I need an ESA permit to install an EV charger in Toronto?
Yes. Every EV charger installation in Toronto requires an Electrical Safety Authority permit and inspection. We file the permit, book the inspection, and give you the Certificate of Acceptance, which your insurer and any future buyer will ask for.
Can I add a Level 2 charger to a 100A panel in an older Toronto home?
Often yes. Many 100A Toronto homes qualify for a DCC-9 or DCC-12 load management device under OESC Rule 8-106, which sheds the EV load when the house peaks. We run the load calculation first and only recommend a panel upgrade when the numbers require it.
How does Toronto Hydro coordination work for a service upgrade?
If your job needs more than a panel swap, we file with Toronto Hydro for the disconnect and reconnect, coordinate the point of attachment and meter base work, and schedule the ESA inspection around the utility date. That process typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
Which Toronto neighbourhoods do you cover?
All of the old City of Toronto, including Downtown, Midtown, Uptown, the East End, the West End, The Beaches, Riverdale, The Annex, High Park, and Leslieville, plus North York, East York, Scarborough, and Etobicoke.
Can you install in a laneway garage or detached garage?
Yes. Detached and laneway garages need a buried feeder or an existing sub-feed, plus a subpanel in many cases. We scope trenching, conduit, and feeder sizing during the site inspection so the quote you sign is the price you pay.
