All prices in Canadian dollars. Ranges exclude the charger unit itself unless we supply it, and include the ESA permit and inspection. The manufacturer parts warranty is registered on your behalf, typically 3 to 5 years depending on brand.

What moves the price up or down?
Six things decide where your job lands inside the range. We check all six during the site inspection.
Distance from the panel to the charger
A charger mounted on the other side of the panel wall is the cheapest install there is. A detached garage 20 metres away needs conduit, trenching, and often a subpanel, which is where the range widens.
Spare capacity in your service
An OESC Section 8 load calculation tells us whether your panel can carry a 48A continuous load. If it cannot, the options are a load management device, a subpanel, or a full upgrade, in that order of cost.
Breaker space versus amperage
A full panel with plenty of service capacity is a subpanel job, not an upgrade. Confusing the two is the single most common reason people get overquoted.
Utility involvement
A service upgrade needs a disconnect and reconnect from Toronto Hydro, Alectra, Elexicon, or your local utility. That adds lead time and cost, which we itemize rather than bundle.
Charger brand and mounting
Hardwired units on a 60A circuit cost slightly more to install than a plug-in setup, but they charge faster and cut GFCI nuisance tripping. Outdoor NEMA 3R mounting adds sealing and weatherproofing work.
